About
One day, I got tired of submitting my work to other websites and either waiting for it to be posted, or finding that the site shut down and my sending anything was pointless. I also got tired of creating fifty million accounts with fifty million fanwork websites, hoping against hope that enough people would take the time to pick my work out of the laundry list of items surrounding it. Thus this site was born.
Synthesis: the fusion of thesis and antithesis. Art and writing. I know, I'm so clever, aren't I? ;)
Let's get personal
I was born in 1983, when Ronald Reagan was president and people freely indulged in bad hair and legwarmers (I even remember when New Kids on the Block started out!). I live in the Keystone State. I work as a dancer in a popular chain of gentlemen's clubs (and I will not say what chain). I have Gemini Rising, so I like to talk.
I also like linking things.
I'm an ARIES, the scariest sign in the Zodiac! (Although some Scorpio folks may beg to differ.)
I'm honest, non-competitive, sincere, lazy, moody, thoughtful, and optimistic. I like being pampered. I like working hard and doing a good job on something.
I have one daughter, whom I love very much.
I love to help younger fanfic authors. Unfortunately though, I no longer have the time to do this, though I may make an exception for the occasional one-shot. Ask away; if I turn you down, it's always with politeness and consideration. And on that note, to anyone whose fic I promised to beta but never did, I sincerely apologize. Blame my schedule.
Generally, I don't believe in being negative, and won't strike unless provoked. I'd rather talk about my likes than my dislikes. I'd rather make love and not war. Besides, war doesn't give people orgasms.
I believe in God, in Astrology, but not in coincidences. And I'm probably the only person on earth without a MySpace or a blog.
It's a job that doesn't pay
I was an artist from the moment I was old enough to hold a pencil. Drawing has always been with me, and has always grown with me, even when I never called upon it. It's more a part of me than anything else I can do. To lose it would be to lose myself.
But writing isn't too far behind. It was sort of a hidden talent, I guess you could say, since it didn't come quite as early as drawing did. I wrote my first fanfic when I was twelve; it was for The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (and no, I'll never post it. Ever). I got into online fandoms five years later. My most prolific years were 2003-4. I slacked off since, but I still have ideas, and eventually I'll act on them.
I'm also a poet, but I don't do that much nowadays.
In my work, I like to challenge myself. I work with different mediums, points of view, and characters. I like to be flexible. An artist or author can grow to like a character simply by making one drawing or one story about him/her. That's the beauty of fanwork.
The surreal life
I run two other websites in along with this one:
• Beauty and the Beast: fanlisting/fanstation for Vincent x Tifa
• Mister Vain: fanlisting/shrine for Dekar from the Lufia/Estpolis series
And I have active accounts on FanFiction.Net, FicWad, and Lunaescence Archives.
Visit my tribute page to my late cockatiel, Samantha.
Game girl
Since most of my work here is based on video games, I might as well mention my background as a gamer. I didn't play very many, mostly old stuff, like the original Star Fox and Mario Kart, the three Super Mario games, and Super Metroid (aka Metroid III). With RPGs, I played FFs IV - X-2 (with XII in the works), all four Estpolis/Lufia games (currently working my way through Ruins of Lore), and the first and third Zelda games (RPGs? Adventure games? You decide). I also played both SNES and Amiga versions of Drakkhen, a game only people my age and older will remember (the SNES version has a bad rap, but it was my very first RPG).
Today, my fanstuff deals mostly with the Final Fantasy and Estpolis games.
